The United States

The States Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Alaska have some of the most popular destinations in America.

In Wyoming, the top fly fishing spots include Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, Teton Wilderness, Green River, Wind River Range and Bighorn Mountains.

Montana boasts of the following destinations: Spanish Peaks, Madison River, Glacier National Park, Lakes & Creeks of the North Fork Flathead River in Glacier National Park and Slough Creek Drainage.

Colorado has Weminuche Wilderness, Big Thompson River, South Platte River, Rocky Mountain National Park and Flat Tops Wilderness.

Alaska offers the following fantastic destinations: Copper River, Talarik Creek and Togiak River.

Canada

Newfoundland and Labrador is most famous for the Atlantic Salmon fishing. The province has 177 scheduled rivers and many more unscheduled all over the place.

Mongolia

New Zealand

The Taupo lake of New Zealand is a picturesque destination for fly fishing. It has an abundant inhabitant of free feeding rainbow and brown trout. Insect life also abounds from the mountains to the dense bush. Starting in January, large brown trout weighing up to six pounds fill the Tongariro river. The winter season is can be the best time to fly fish in Taupo as target steelhead heads to one of the many tributaries of the lake.

Lake Rotorua is the only lake in New Zealand that may be fished throughout the year. It is famous for abundance in browns.

Lake Tarawera sits on the foot of Mt. Tarawera and is place to place for trophy catch.
